Annotation

The course content includes practical training in basic diagnostic, therapeutic, and prophylactic procedures in all areas of dentistry within a dental practice. It also covers the fundamentals of working in different areas of dentistry.

Aim of the course

After completing the course, students are capable of:      

• Perform a preventive examination of the teeth and oral cavity.       
• Examine a patient with an acute condition and establish a diagnosis.      
• Take and analyze X-ray images.      
• Perform simple dental procedures (removal of supragingival dental calculus, dental hygiene instruction).

Requirements to the exam

Credit

Credit will be given to the student who

1. will take part on all practical classes,
2. will do at least 4 preventive check-ups,
3. will treat at least 3 patients at prosthodontic department, 
4. make requested preparations on Frasaco teeth (26DO, 24MOD).

In the case of repeating a study obligation, the student is required to complete the study obligation in its entirety.
