As part of the course, students will be introduced to the topic of fixed dental prostheses, including their classification, indications, treatment procedures, and fabrication methods.

Aim of the course
After finishing of this subjects, students are able to:
Examinate the patient and suggest optimal material for the fixed reconstruction.
Do the preparation and to take impression of the fixed reconstruction, choose the colour.
To prepare temporary fixed dentures.
Choose optimal material for cementing of the fixed reconstruction.

Requirements to the exam
Credit
Credit test has to be done at least with 80 % (max. 2 re-take attemps - oral or written examination).
Homeworks at least 80 % from each (35-onlay, 46-PFM, 11-esthetical veneer, 44-all-ceramic crown, 23-all-ceramic crown).
Student must be present at all practical classes.
In the case of repeating a study obligation, the student is required to complete the study obligation in its entirety.

Basic rules for fixed crowns´preparations, choosing the colour, retraction of gingiva. (Vavrickova 3)

Entry requirements
Prerequisities for the subject Prosthodontics I are all mandatory subjects of the second year of studies and subjects Clinical Dentistry I and Clinical Dentistry II.
