Annotation
As part of the course, students will be introduced to the issues of dental injuries in children, diseases of the salivary glands, periodontal diseases, and oral mucosa disorders. They will also learn about prosthetic treatment for pediatric and adolescent patients, as well as approaches for treating uncooperative children and those with special needs.

Aim of the course

The basic orientation in:

  • orofacial pathology in children
  • dental traumatology in children
  • dental treatment of uncooperative children (conscious sedation, general anaesthesia) and special needs children.

Complex examination of the child in dental office and treatment plan.

Requirements to the exam

Credit

  1. Full attendance on practical classes from paediatric dentistry.
  2. Adequate theoretical knowledge during the oral examination and discussion in the frame of practical classes.
  3. Successful pass of the credit test (75 % of points).

Examination

The student having obtained the credit can register for the examination.

In the case of repeating a study obligation, the student is required to complete the study obligation in its entirety.
