This course introduces students to the basic diagnostic and therapeutic methods using in physiotherapy. Practical lessons introduces to the methods of muscle testing, examination of joint mobility and basic locomotive models of human organism. This course will continue following semester as an Examination and Basic Therapeutic Methods II.

Learning Outcomes: The aim of the course is to provide students with knowledge, the skills and the general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students: - demonstrate knowledge of the principles and implementation of a basic examination procedures for performing a comprehensive kinesiological analysis - demonstrate the ability to perform basic examination procedures (see the course syllabus) - demonstrate the ability to develop a comprehensive kinesiological analysis patient - demonstrate knowledge of the principles of a basic therapeutic procedures (see the course syllabus) - demonstrate the ability to apply a basic therapeutic procedures (see the course syllabus)

Movement in Physiotherapy (passive, active movements, basic exercise positions, conditioning exercises - training) 6. Basic examination methods (anthropometry, goniometry, examination of shorted muscles) 7. Postural and gait examination
Practicals: 1. Anamnesis 2. Orientation on human body 3-4. Patient repositioning, verticalization and mobilization of patient 5. Respiration physiotherapy exercises, Thromboembolic prevention exercises 6. Passive, active-assistive movements 7. Active movements, conditional training 8-9. Palpation 10. Anthropometry, spine distances 11-12. Manual muscle length test
