Kurz je strukturován do čtyř částí. V první části jsou studenti seznámeni s hlavními teoretickými přístupy ve studiu mezinárodních vztahů. V druhé části je problematika mezinárodní vztahů a mezinárodní politiky rozebírána z tří různých úrovní analýzy – úrovně mezinárodního systému, státu a substátních aktérů. Třetí část se zabývá mezinárodními organizacemi, mezinárodním obchodem a životním prostředím ve vazbě na mezinárodní vztahy. V posledním části jsou studenti uvedeni do problematiky mezinárodní bezpečnosti.

Popis kurzu Cílem kursu je seznámit posluchače s předmětem studia oboru mezinárodní vztahy, s jeho strukturou, s hlavními tématy a základními teoretickými přístupy k řešení problémů, jimiž se zabývá. Kurz je strukturován do čtyř částí. V první části jsou studenti seznámeni s hlavními teoretickými přístupy ve studiu mezinárodních vztahů. V druhé části je problematika mezinárodní vztahů a mezinárodní politiky rozebírána z tří různých úrovní analýzy – úrovně mezinárodního systému, státu a substátních aktérů. Třetí část se zabývá mezinárodními organizacemi, mezinárodním obchodem a životním prostředím ve vazbě na mezinárodní vztahy. V posledním části jsou studenti uvedeni do problematiky mezinárodní bezpečnosti. Moodle E-learningová platforma ‚moodle‘ je nedílnou součástí tohoto kurzu. Skrze tuto platformu bude studentům zprostředkována povinná literatura a budou zde zveřejňovány aktuální informace o průběhu kurzu. Všichni studenti jsou proto povinni se zaregistrovat na stránkách tohoto kurzu (https://dl1.cuni.cz/course/view.php?id=4196) a pravidelně je kontrolovat.
