Rozvrh
Anotace - angličtina
This seminar offers a close reading of selected controversy stories in the Gospel of Matthew, with attention to their synoptic parallels (especially in Mark) and their depiction of Judaism in the late Second Temple period. Special focus will be given to halachic issues raised in these narratives and to Matthew’s distinctive editorial and theological perspectives.

The participants should have at least a basic knowledge of New Testament Greek (though perfection is not required! don't be afraid to enroll). Work will combine collaborative analysis in class with individual preparation at home. Students will be assigned selected readings to present and discuss.

The seminar is eligible for Erasmus students and can be recognized as a New Testament seminar for students of the Protestant Theology programme at MA level.

The seminar can be taken either for 3 credits (coursework without a final paper) or for 6 credits (including a seminar essay).
