Anotace

The course focuses primarily on the diversity of education systems and educational reality in the Czech Republic and in countries of participating students. The lessons are dedicated to topics chosen by students‘ during previous lessons. In the first one, students are taught about education systems – they are to collect information about education system in their country, so they would be able to discuss this issue. Lessons are conducted through a colloquial discussion. Through the experience acquired during the course Teaching Practice II, lessons reflect the realities of the learning process, students present and share their ideas to develop their pedagogical thinking. The outcome of the course (after approval) is a comparative essay. The topic is depending on a student’s choice. It is recommended to write the essay in a group of students from various cultures. Students of this course are prefered to the course Teaching Practice II. Included in this course is a field trip to a kindergarten and to Montessori school.

Podmínky zakončení předmětu

Every student is supposed to write an essay on a specific topic of Primary or pre-primary education. The topic will be approved by the teacher of the course. They will approve the skills in working with the information databases and will develop the literature review in the specific topic. The presentation of essays will be done in the last session.
