The aim of the course is to provide an overview of the field of finance in general. Specifically, this course will address matters of personal finance that will help students successfully manage their personal financial affairs. As such, the course is about life skills. This necessitates a brief introduction to financial markets and basic tools of finance. After the introduction of building blocks, the course will discuss aspects of finance on the personal level, such as saving, loaning, investing, and retirement.
