Anotace

Cílem předmětu je naučit budoucí farmaceuty poznat, charakterizovat a klasifikovat kosmetické přípravky používané ve farmacii. Absolvent předmětu je schopen popsat kosmetický přípravek z pohledu skupenství, disperzních systémů a místa aplikace. Absolvent předmětu umí určit roli a mechanismy účinku složek vybraných kosmetických přípravků a umí popsat technologii jejich výroby.

The aim of the course is to teach future pharmacists to recognize, characterize, and classify cosmetic products used in pharmacy. Graduates of the course are capable of describing a cosmetic product in terms of its physical state, dispersion systems, and site of application. Graduates of the course can identify the role and mechanisms of action of components in selected cosmetic products and can describe the technology of their production.

Knowledge gained from lectures, e-learning (Moodle), and self-study. The course is successfully completed by obtaining sufficient points from the written test. The exam is successful when receiving at least 60 % of successful answers.

• Explain the differences between safe ingredients, substances with health effects, and substances on the negative list.

3.      Discuss the requirements for the safety and quality of cosmetic products

• Assess factors affecting stability, irritancy, and efficacy of cosmetic products.
• Explain the principles of cosmetic product safety assessment.

4.      Understand the process of development and market authorization of cosmetic products

• Describe key stages in the development of cosmetic products.
• Explain the role of the responsible person, the CPNP portal, and the RAPEX database.
