The objective of the study is obtaining theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of Prosthetic Dentistry – patient examination with the aspect of prosthetic reconstruction of the denture, pre-prosthetic preparation of the denture and jaws, therapy using fixed or removable replacements. Interdisciplinary co-operation. Materials in prosthetic dentistry, detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of the technique of preparation of dental replacements. States of defects of the denture and basic types of dental replacements. Fixed restorations. Partially removable reconstructions. Total reconstructions. Preventive aspects of prosthetic treatment.

Podmínky zakončení předmětu

Regulation for credits - prosthodontic subjects

Credit Requirements:

1. No absences are allowed.

2. Active participation in seminars and practical classes.

3. Completed and signed procedures in the logbook.

4. Successful completion of the practical exam with a patient (the practical exam will take place during the 3 weeks preceding the end of the teaching block of the respective group in the clinical training halls).

The examination schedule will be announced to students 3 months in advance.

Make-up sessions are possible only if capacity allows, upon agreement with the teacher, and in accordance with the rules stated in the document Operation of the Clinical Training Hall.
