Odborné přednášky zahraničních a domácích expertů v anglickém jazyce. Zprostředkují studentům informace o aktuálních výzkumných projektech, využití nejnovějších vědeckých metod a přístupů, a také představí způsoby prezentace výsledků bádání klasické archeologie a přidružených vědních oborů (prehistorická a římsko-provinciální archeologie, numismatika, epigrafika atd.) pro širší veřejnost. Cílem přednášek je seznámit studenty nejen s vybranými případovými studiemi, ale také s aktuálními vědeckými koncepty a proměnami odborného diskursu.
Požadavky na splnění: - účast na všech přednáškách - krátka esej (max. 2500 slov); účastníci si mohou vybrat téma z přednášek tohoto semestru. Na základě vašeho výběru vám poskytneme krátkou bibliografii, kterou použijete pro svou esej. Upozorňujeme, že esej by měla odrážet váš vlastní názor na dané téma, vaše představy a možná i podněty k vlastnímu studiu; nejedná se o vědeckou studii, ale o esej ve volném textu. Aktuálne výsledky výskumov / Tomáš Kolon: Neskoroantické rezidencie germánskych elít v barbariku (interpretácia a datovanie na príklade lokality Bratislava-Podunajské Biskupice) 24.04. Athanasios Sideris: Treasuring the Ostentatious Past. Ancient luxury, modern sensationalism, and historical figures. ----------------------------------------------- Scientific lectures by foreign and Czech archaeologist in English. The lectures will provide information on ongoing research, both on theoretical background as well as methods and novel approaches applied, and on how to present the results of ongoing scientific projects in classical archaeology, Aegean and Roman archaeology, numismatics, and epigraphy to the wider public. The main aim of the lectures is to familiarize students not only with selected case studies, but also with current scientific concepts and discourses. Lecture´s requirements - the participation in all lectures is obligatory - the participants have to take part in all lectures and must write a short essay (max. 2500 words) at the end of this semester. The participants can choose a topic from this semester´s lectures. Based on your selection, we will provide you with a short bibliography to be used for your essay. Please note that the essay should reflect your own opinion about the topic, your ideas and maybe stimuli for your own study; it is not a scientific study, but a free text essay.
