Infections of the CNS. Childhood infections. Infections of the skin and soft tissues. Infections in immunocompromised patients. Vaccination. Nosocomial infections. Practical application by interactive learning using clinical cases with the focus on the differential diagnosis, proper sampling techniques and an appropriate antibiotic therapy.

Requirements for credit 1. All protocols from practical classes completed CREDIT TEST CORRECTION CREDIT TEST ORAL EXAMINATION due to the missed practical class Examination The students, who received credits for both winter and summer terms, can register for the exam. The final exam is oral. The dates of the exams are available in SIS and Moodle. Students can sign up for a particular date in SIS It is strictly forbidden to use any personal electronic devices during any type of examination (credit test, final exam). In case the student is caught not obeying these rules, the exam is classified as„Fail“. The same rule applies also when student communicates with others during the testing or preparation for the final exam. The students are not allowed to leave the preparation room after selecting the questions for the final exam. Prerequisites: Microbiology I, Mandatory courses GENERAL MEDICINE 1st year. Knowledge gained in the Microbiology I course is essential for the students to understand the practical application of the basic principles of microbiology. Understanding basic mechanisms of pathogenesis of the individual microbial agents from the Microbiology I is necessary to successfully follow the clinically oriented topics in this course.
