Annotation
As part of the course, students will become familiar with the issues of developmental anomalies of teeth and hard dental tissues, the treatment of dental caries and pulp in children, and pain management during dental treatment of pediatric patients.

Aim of the course

Introduction of students to the issues of pediatric dentistry:

  • acquiring basic knowledge and practical skills related to the diagnosis of oral diseases in children,
  • examination of a child in a dental office,
  • treatment of dental caries,
  • pain management during dental procedures in children,
  • extraction of primary/permanent teeth,
  • diagnosis of developmental disorders of hard dental tissues,
  • treatment of dental pulp in children.

Requirements to the exam

Credit

  1. Full attendance at all practical classes. 
  2. Every absence must be fully compensated.
  3. Student must prove satisfied knowledge during practical training.
  4. Student has to pass successfully the credit test (achieve min. 75 % of points).

In the case of repeating a study obligation, the student is required to complete the study obligation in its entirety.
