The subject "Conditioning Gymnastic Programs" provides both theoretical and practical insights into the conditioning approach to gymnastics. The content of the subject offers opportunities to familiarize oneself with the use of equipment, apparatus, and aids for addressing muscle imbalances and controlled training of aerobic and muscular fitness associated with assessing the personal motor performance of participants.

Upon completing the subject, students will acquire fundamental theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of utilizing equipment and aids for conditioning gymnastics. They will be capable of creating and implementing conditioning gymnastic exercise programs.

  • Students will be able to explain the principles of designing exercise programs and the benefits of conditioning gymnastics for addressing muscle imbalances.
  • They will understand the objectives and tasks of compensatory exercises and the general principles of stretching.
  • Additionally, students will grasp the general principles involved in developing strength training programs.
  • Furthermore, students will be proficient in conducting conditioning gymnastic programs aimed at improving aerobic endurance.
  • They will be able to demonstrate, instruct, describe, and correct conditioning gymnastic programs conducted in a group setting using gymnastic equipment, apparatus, and aids.

Seminars:

  • Principles of creating exercise programs, the concept of fitness and conditioning. Conditioning gymnastics lessons with music.
  • Assessment of the musculoskeletal system and movement patterns. Utilizing equipment in conditioning gymnastics (ropes, medicine balls).
  • Goals and objectives of compensatory exercises. Exercises at stations (trunk mobility and strength).
  • Motor performance testing using the UNIFITTEST. Gymnastic warm-up and participant testing, relaxation exercises.
  • Modern conditioning programs - fitness center updates. Interval aerobic workout.
  • General principles of stretching (flexibility diagnostics). Stretching lesson.
  • General principles of youth strength training. Leg and arm muscle exercises, using steps.
  • Principles for designing strength training programs. Bodystyling using expanders.
  • Types of aerobics for aerobic endurance development. P-class exercise lesson.
  • Influencing coordination abilities. Coordination and balance exercises with music (overballs).
  • Methods for developing muscle endurance. Bodystyling using dumbbells.
  • Aerobar exercise technique. Exercise lesson with music using Aerobars.
  • Exercise technique on gymballs. Exercise lesson with gymballs.
  • Systematics of Pilates exercises. Preparatory exercise lesson (seven balance and strength exercises).
