The goal of the course is to acquaint student teachers with school environment and the teacher's work. An important part is a systematic support and development of students' competences in the area of individualised, differentiated and inclusive teaching at the primary or secondary school. The goal of the assistance practice is to create a space for mentor-like cooperation between student teachers and experienced practising teachers. The aim is also to develop reflective and self-reflective skills of students. The students will be given an opportunity to work as assistants of a teacher or a pupil. The will have an opportunity to get to know various types of pupils with special educational needs in a heterogeneous class, such as pupils with learning needs, ADD, pupils from deprived social environments, talented pupils, pupils-foreigners, etc. They will be able to do the teacher's work when, e.g., preparing pupils for entrance examinations, organising competitions, etc.

The student participates in the introductory information seminar and the final reflective seminar at the faculty
Students work regularly throughout the semester according to the teacher's instructions at school
According to the discipline didactics the student presents in the study group at the faculty the course and results of his / her activities in the assistant work and at the same time submits the evaluation of the teacher who coordinates, guides and evaluates the student's teaching practice.This evaluation can be sent by the teacher directly to the professional didactic.

Course completion requirements -

Student will practice in the extent of one semester:
18 - 22 hours of observation and assistant activities (in the case of combined study students, the number of hours may be adjusted in favor of indirect work)
2 hours of introductory seminar
2 - 4 hours of the final reflective seminar
14 - 16 hours in connection with the preparation of activities and their reflection with the teacher
20 -22 hours of independent work and fulfillment of electronic study support22 hours of observation and assistant activities
Conditions for granting the credit:
completion of assistant practice in the full range of activities
positive evaluation by the faculty teacher
submission of all documents for credit
 
Assesment methods:
Before teaching practice, all students must complete a course in Moodle, which introduces students to the basic rules, requirements and rights of the student during the course of teaching practice. The main part of the electronic course is the training of the student in the field of security literacy, basic legislation in education, common risk at school (injuries), traffic safety in school practice and emergencies (fires, armed striker at school). The course is organized as a self-study. Upon successful completion of the test, students print out a certificate, which they submit according to the requirements of the guarantor of the corresponding parallel.
