The exam is standardised for all doctorate students of the faculty and it is provided by individual teachers of the Department of foreign languages. Preparation for the exam is either by self-studying or the students can attend some of the language courses provided by Department of foreign languages.

Zkouška má prakticky standardizovaný charakter pro všechny doktorandy fakulty a je kompetentně zabezpečována jednotlivými pracovníky Kabinetu výuky cizích jazyků PedF UK v Praze. Zkoušce je vždy přítomen i školitel. Příprava ke zkoušce probíhá buď samostudiem, nebo mohou doktorandi využít jazykových kurzů pořádaných Kabinetem výuky cizích jazyků PedF UK v Praze.
