This course is intended to provide the student with an understanding of the fundamental concepts and tools
necessary to administer Linux infrastructure for development and testing and for running the core network services.
The course targets the distribution RHEL/CentOS, resp. Fedora. The following topics will be covered:
installation and management of core daemons (cron, postfix, nfs, nginx, etc.),
configuration of firewalls and NAT. The knowledge of the following topics is expected: Linux at the user level,
networks, relevant application protoco

Tento kurs je zaměřen na seznámení se základními koncepty a administratorským nářadím nutným pro správu
Linuxové infrastruktury pro vývoj a testování software, a pro provoz základních síťových služeb. Výklad je
orientován na distribuci RHEL/CentOS, resp. Fedora.
Bude pokryta instalace a administrace základních démonů (cron, postfix, nfs, nginx, atp.).
Konfigurace firewallu a NAT. Předpokládají se znalosti o Linuxu na uživatelské úrovni, počítačových sítích a
relevatních aplikačních protokolech.

The final grade is based on the number of points gained from solving lab assignments. It requires systematic work throughout the whole semester, so it rules out any retakes.

Známka z předmětu je odvozena od počtu získaných bodů z úloh zadaných na cvičení. Jelikož základní podmínkou je systematická práce během semestru, jsou vyloučeny opravné termíny.
