The course content includes practical training in both basic and advanced diagnostic, therapeutic, and prophylactic procedures in all areas of dentistry within a dental practice. It also covers the fundamentals of work in various dental disciplines.

Aim of the course
After completing the course, students are capable of:
Perform a preventive examination of the teeth and oral cavity.
Examine a patient with an acute condition and establish a diagnosis.
Take and analyze X-ray images. Perform simple dental procedures (removal of supragingival dental calculus, dental hygiene instruction).
Carry out basic dental treatments (treatment of minor carious lesions, simple tooth extractions, periodontal treatment, basic prosthetic procedures).

Requirements to the exam
Credit
Credit will be given to the students who:
take part on all of the practical classes,
get at least 80 points from practical classes at the department of restorative dentistry,
will do requested preparation on Frasaco tooth - 47MO, 45MOD,
performs root canal treatment of at least 5 root canals of extracted or 3D printed teeth, one of the teeth being a molar; performs root canal treatment of 3D printed KaVo replicas of teeth 43 and 16 in the KaVo simulator, including taking an apical X-ray image in the simulator,
performs root canal treatment of a tooth in patient's mouth,
extract at least 3 permanent teeth,
get at least 35 points from practical classes at the department of prosthodontic dentistry.
In the case of repeating a study obligation, the student is required to complete the study obligation in its entirety.

Practical courses
Students will be divided into pairs. Work on different clinical departments of the Dental Clinic according to schedule. The content of practical classes is determined by the supervising doctor.
