Annotation -
Methodological and content management of bachelor theses. The basis is specification of the requirements for the bachelor thesis,
consultation on the structure of the bachelor thesis and reiteration of the principles for working with literature and information. The actual content of the seminar consists of student reports on individual projects.
The aim of the course is to provide essential guidelines for adequate preparation of the BP project. To deepen the preparation of students for independent publishing (not only within the BP and its defence).
Acquired knowledge: the student is secure in his/her knowledge of the methods of acquiring professional knowledge (in electronic and written form), can work with basic methodological approaches in psychology, can select (determine) adequate methods for the design of a research project, can well explain the essence of the project (in relation to a specific area of psychological research).
Acquired skills: the student will be able to select and process professional sources in relation to the problem to be solved, he/she will be able to assess and defend the selection of the knowledge about the problem, which he/she will then present in his/her bachelor thesis, he/she will be able to formulate the problem to be solved in adequate psychological terms. He/she can plan the procedure of the research investigation, can critically evaluate its benefits and pitfalls.
Course content: Analysis of the topics of assigned bachelor theses; Requirements for the bachelor thesis; Working with documentary information in relation to the bachelor thesis; Overview of sources of documentary information in relation to specific topics of individual theses; Preparation of theses (thematic units, layout of the thesis, definition of the main problem of investigation, most important sub-problems, methods and procedures applied in the thesis, basic literature); Reports by individual students on the process of solving sub-tasks; Analysis and evaluation of the process; Discussion focused on methodological, ethical, content and formal aspects of bachelor theses

Course completion requirements -

Presentation of a progress report on the work on the bachelor's project: outline presentation of the basic approach to the topic and the solution of selected problems in the progress of the work from the literature review, through the formulation of the problem and objectives of the work, the theoretical and methodological context to the final elaboration.

Each student will report on the way in which he/she has worked on his/her own project, and a group discussion on each project is expected. If the student does not report on the bachelor's project, he/she prepares 8-10 pages of text - part of the BP, which he/she submits for certification.
