Introduction to art education. Understanding of the specificity of visual perception, expression and feeling and their role in childrens developement in today visaul culture. Ways of preparing after school activities for children.

Aim of the course -

Aim of this course is to introduce contemporary art education, its theory and praxis. It also aims to explain the specifity of art perception and creation for childrens developement. It explains basic terms, themes and issues of art education in relation to after school activities.

Visual perception, imagination and expression in the context of contemporary visual culture. Todays art education and its place in educational process. Therapeutical possibilities of art education. After school activities and art eduvcation.

Theory:

1. Visual perception, expression and imagination

Visual culture, perception, feelings, visual thinking, visual expression. Art amd childrens art. Creativity, fantasy and spontaneity.

2. Art education

Educational content of art education. Art education and its role in childrens developement. Artefiletics.
