Annotation -
This seminar introduces the students to the aim, meaning, context, structure, and rules of the theological studies and it gives the first introduction to the general methodology, the reading and writing of an academic text and presentation, and the use of the essential research sources and tools.

The course will be successfully finished with a written paper on the topic selected by the teacher.

Introduction to the study of theology and general principles of undergraduate study. Theoretical and practical introduction to the perception and production of professional texts.

Requirements to the exam -

The following are required for credit:

active participation and a maximum of 2 absences;
oral presentation (10 minutes);
successful completion of a seminar paper on a topic approved by the instructor:
linguistic, formal and professional (theological) aspects are evaluated;
binding deadline for submission: to be specified
method of submission: electronic and hard copy
Essentials of the seminar paper:

7 standard pages;
use of at least five different sources, including at least one foreign language source.
Title page, introduction, structured body, conclusion, bibliography divided into sources and secondary literature;
formal layout according to https://www.ktf.cuni.cz/KTF-963.html.
