Surgery of the digestive tract, particularly the oesophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, colon and rectum, as well as surgery of the spleen, liver, portal hypertension, gallbladder and bile ducts, and pancreas. Acute abdominal emergencies, gastrointestinal bleeding, penetrating and non-penetrating abdominal injuries, hemoperitoneum, diagnosis and treatment of limb injuries.

Selected theoretical knowledge in general and special surgery, especially abdominal and traumatology.
Practical knowledge and skills in abdominal surgery, general surgery, vascular surgery, intensive care, limb traumatology and plastic surgery.

Each student must be educated in minimal knowledge.
A credit will be given on a base of 100% attendance at practical trainings, succeeding in passing final written test and pre-learning in Moodle.
Students must notify the Academic Department of Surgery of an any absence in a timely manner. The head of the department decides how the missed exercise will be replaced.
In the case of repeating a subject, the student is required to complete the pre-learning and the test. Practical lessons need to be completed only if they have not been previously undertaken.
Students in exchange programs (Erasmus, etc.) must complete the study obligation in full.
