Annotation -
The Gynecology and Obstetrics course is focused on propaedeutics of the field of gynecology and obstetrics. The main attention is paid to examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics with an interdisciplinary scope. The focus of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of the field and especially from the point of view of an interdisciplinary focus - on gynecological pathology, imaging methods in obstetrics and gynecology, and tumor and prenatal genetics. Basics of pediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics. In pediatrics with an emphasis on anamnesis, physical examination, congenital developmental defects (DVD), patterns of growth and development of the child. The student will also be introduced to the basics of pediatric palliative medicine. In gynecology and obstetrics, teaching is focused on the basics of gynecological propaedeutics, examination methods in gynecology and obstetrics. Emphasis will also be placed on interdisciplinary topics. The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the paradigms of pediatric medicine, the structure and practical implementation of anamnesis, physical examination depending on age, peculiarities of evaluation of laboratory findings in pediatrics, regularities of children's growth and development, VVV of the cardiovascular, GIT, urogenital and respiratory systems. In the gynecology-obstetrics section with gynaecopathology, basic examination methods (laboratory and imaging) in gynecology and obstetrics, prenatal diagnosis and VVV screening are further discussed. Basics principles of paediatrics, gynecology and obstetrics. In pediatrics with an emphasis on the history, physical examination, congenital malformations, growth and development of the child. Aim of the course -

The focus of the course is to acquaint students with the basics of the field and especially from the point of view of an interdisciplinary focus - on gynecological pathology, imaging methods in obstetrics and gynecology, and tumor and prenatal genetics.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the paradigms of pediatric medicine, the structure and practical implementation of the anamnesis, physical examination depending on age, the peculiarities of the evaluation of laboratory findings in pediatrics, the laws of child growth and development, and congenital developmental defects (CDE) of the cardiovascular, GIT, urogenital and respiratory system.

Conditions for the credit of gynecology and obstetrics:

The 14-day block of gynecology and obstetrics is supplemented by a "night internship at the maternity hospital". The student will prove this internship with a certificate. The night internship must be completed according to the schedule at FNKV or ÚPMD Prague.
The exam for the gynecology and obstetrics section is a type of written test with a % grade and a choice of multiple answers. The test is on the last day of the 14-day block and is mandatory. The test will be online in the Education Portal. The test will be accessible on the last day of the 14-day block from 15.00 to 24.00 CET. Students studying abroad can take the test on the same date of the last day of the 14-day block or during the exam period according to the listed special dates. The topics of the test copy the individual teaching units (syllabus). The questions will be accessible in the teaching system. The result of the test is transferred as a % of the grade to the grade in the 5th grade. Teaching in the 4th year and a 14-day vacation practice, with the approval of the head of the subject, can be replaced by an Erasmus or other official exchange stay.

Conditions for credit: 100% participation in practical exercises (internships) and clinical seminars in the section of gynecology and obstetrics. Absence up to a maximum of 20% with a demonstrable excuse is dealt with individually. Part of the credit is passing a test and a night internship.

Conditions for credit in paediatrics: 100% participation in practical exercises (internships) and clinical seminars. Absence up to a maximum of 20% with a verifiable excuse is dealt with individually. The paediatric part is concluded with an examination in the form of a written multiple choice question. The questions are based on the individual teaching units. The exam will be given on the announced dates during the exam period.

The final grade for the whole course will be the average of the test grades for the two units.
