Preliminary scope of work
Cíle práce jsou definovány následovně:
(i) Vytvořit a validovat regionálně zaměřenou metodu hodnocení náchlnosti jezer v pohoří Cordillera Blanca (Peru) k povodni typu GLOF;
(ii) Zhodnotit náchylnost k povodni typu GLOF všech objemově významných jezer v zájmové oblasti, a to s použitím nově vytvořené metody a s implikacemi pro zmírnění ohrožení;
(iii) Zhodnotit nedávnou (od Malé doby ledové) dynamiku vývoje vybraných jezer (případové studie).
Preliminary scope of work in English
The main objectives of this study are defined as follows:
(i) to create and validate regionally-focused method for assessing susceptibility of lakes of the Cordillera Blanca to outburst floods;
(ii) to assess the susceptibility of all large lakes in the study area to outburst floods using newly created method with implications for hazard mitigation;
(iii) to evaluate recent (post-Little Ice Age) dynamic of evolution of selected lakes (case studies).
Meeting these objectives helps to better understand ongoing geoenvironmental changes in the study area in general and its recent dynamic with special attention given to the hazardous processes (GLOFs). Obtained results are apparently utilizable in identification of lakes susceptible to produce GLOF in the broader frame of GLOF risk management with respect to specific causes and mechanisms of lake outburst floods.
