Cílem předmětu je studenty seznámit se základními fyzikálními regeneračními metodami, balneoterapií a základům mechanoterapie a jejich významu ve sportovní praxi. Cílem praktických cvičení je osvojení praktických dovedností v oblasti hydroterapie, aplikace tepelných procedur, fototerapie a mechanoterapie. Součástí teoretických základů budou také informace o léčebných fyziatrických postupech a jejich vztahu k pohybové aktivitě.

The aim of the course is to acquaint students with basic physical regeneration methods, balneotherapy and basics of mechanotherapy and their importance in sports practice. The aim of practical exercises is to master practical skills in hydrotherapy, application of thermal procedures, phototherapy and mechanotherapy. Theoretical bases will also include information on therapeutic physiotherapy procedures and their relationship to physical activity.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

• demonstrates knowledge of general principles of physical therapy

• demonstrates knowledge of the effects and uses of thermotherapy, hydrotherapy and phototherapy

• demonstrates an understanding of the indications and contraindications of thermotherapy, hydrotherapy and phototherapy

• demonstrates the ability to apply physical therapy

• demonstrates the ability to evaluate the effect of physical therapy in the patient
