Orientation in the discussed theory and active participation in seminars. Practical outputs in the seminar - voice exercises using the piano focused on a certain voice issue, their evaluation and subsequent performance in one of the faculty choirs.

Papers: two from the areas listed in the syllabus, a selection from those printed in bold (written and presented in the seminar). Singing without a piano. Pitching with a tuner.

Each person prepares two outputs: 1. Vocal culture and singing of a selected choir. History of the ensemble, repertoire orientation, concert activities. Characteristics of singing in this choir choir and vocal culture training. Written preparation and presentation in the seminar supplemented with examples of interpretation. You can introduce a choir that you know from your own practice, or you can introduce some important choir. 2. Comparative interpretation of an arbitrarily chosen choral work (comparison of at least two audio recordings). For lesser-known compositions, I recommend providing sheet music in advance by email.

Exam format:

1. Written processing of the assigned circuit and subsequent discussion.

2. Practically at the piano: singing (5 voice exercises). Transposition by semitones with the melody in the right hand and non-tonal dominants in the left hand (until the exam date). In writing: Annotated written recording of the singing of three different choirs (male or female, children's, mixed), sent by email (by the exam date).

3. Systematic and ongoing work with lessons in time signature technique, mastering the required content of the material, a part from memory, piano rendition of the studied compositions.
