The course is an introduction to the theory of leisure time pedagogy with a focus on the interests and hobby activities of students, as a set of organized and purposeful leisure activities. It leads the graduates of the training course to acquire knowledge and skills to determine the content, methods and forms of specific hobby activities for various age categories, thanks to which the graduate is able to implement and evaluate activities, ways of solving unusual educational situations, basic regulations and legal norms for hobby departments. Aims: The student is able to define the goals and forms of education in students' free time, to master the basic terminology of leisure time pedagogy, to explain the pedagogical principles of leisure activities. 1. Pedagogy of leisure time as a scientific discipline, relation of pedagogy to other sciences. 2. Historical conception of leisure time pedagogy. 3. Characteristics and distribution of interests and leisure activities. 4. Leisure time and personality formation (the role of individual aspects of leisure time in education). 5. Functions of hobby activities, social dimensions of leisure time (undesirable forms of pupils' behavior, prevention of risky behavior in schools, social media and leisure time). 6. Profession of leisure time pedagogue (areas of activity, personal prerequisites, competencies); 7. Specifics of leisure time pedagogue's activity in individual institutions (perspectives of extracurricular education). 8. Organizational forms of hobby activities, structure of hobby department activities. 9. System approach to leisure pedagogy. 10. Offers for "unorganized" leisure and recreation; subjects offering organized leisure activities.
