The course is focused on acquaintance with music pedagogy as a frontier scientific discipline, its internal division. It summarizes the system of contemporary music education in the intentions of FEP and SEP. It acquaints with current textbooks of education at primary and secondary schools, deals with their analysis and subsequent comparison. Music pedagogy as a frontier scientific discipline, its internal division, the relationship between music pedagogy and didactics of music education. Music education process in a broader and narrower sense. Basic music pedagogical categories, the relationship between theory and practice, types of music education. Regularities of music teaching, pedagogical dimension of music, specifics of music communication. Modern music education systems. Orff's Schulwerk. Integrative music pedagogy. Textbooks of music education, basic music pedagogical documentation, conception and practice of schools with extended teaching of music education. Study of FEP, cross-sectional topics, SEP of selected school. An overview of the curriculum in music education at the 2nd level of primary school and grammar school, a comparison of the content of the curriculum at a regular primary school and a school with extended music education. Analysis of textbooks in terms of thematic units and choice of curriculum. Video recordings of the work of faculty teachers, orientational acquisition of basic methodological procedures with a view to use in pedagogical practice, listening at primary schools with extended teaching of music education in Prague Letňany.
