The course is lectured by Dr Beata Samoraj-Charitonow (University of Warsaw).


The course deals with the issues of international sanctions and problems related to the integration in social societies. The scope is formulated broadly. The assumption of the course is to discuss and analyze selected problems related to migration movements in the world, both in terms of social, legal and economic perspectives. The discussed issues oscillate around such issues as: selected legal aspects of foreigners' access to the territories of specific countries, political conditions in the context of making migration decisions, legal aspects of the judiciary and case studies, financial services, maintenance services and problems in the assessment of banking systems between migration countries, exclusion banking, digital exclusion, exclusion of foreigners from the labor market, migration problems in the context of gender (differences in the migration situation of women and men), migration, climate change, geographical factors and other problems affecting the confirmation of migration decisions and the functioning of foreigners in the country of origin, and related to or related to their immigrant status.


After completing the course, the student has a general picture of migration movements in the world, has a basic knowledge of the problems related to migration movements, in selected areas is able to describe and assess the impact of political decisions, legal and economic instruments on migration decisions. He is able to independently deepen the analysis of selected migration problems.

Assessment
The final grade consists of 4 parts of tasks during the semester:
(1) preparation of a note on the analysis of migration problems shown in one of the film materials (20% of the grade),
(2) Standalone paper. The topic chosen after consultations and arrangements with the lecturer (40% of the grade),
(3) Participation in an online conference and preparation of a note from this event (20% of the grade),
(4) student's activity and involvement in the discussion during classes (20%).
