Students will learn about the issues of providing anesthesia and analgesia in an animal experiment. First, basic questions about the provision of anaesthesia and analgesia are answered - ethical principles and barriers. Subsequently, anaesthesia in small and large animals is discussed in more detail, taking into account the specificities of each group. Monitoring and necessary provision of animal subjects is discussed in detail. Postoperative care and evaluation of adequate pain relief are also commented. The issue of ethics and the actual performance of euthanasia of animal subjects is also mentioned.
