Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Care Medicine, 2nd Medical Faculty, Charles University and University Hospital Motol is looking for student lecturers for our practical First Aid seminars for the winter semester of 2023/2024. The lecturers will be enrolled in the optional course First Aid lecturer and will be rewarded with 3 credits. Your job will be as an aid to the teacher during the seminars that are mostly simulation medicine. You will take part in the simulation scenarios and the drills of the first aid skills. Also, your role will be to motivate your younger schoolmates and friends to take active roles in the seminars. Before every seminar, you will be given written materials that should help you go through the lesson led by one of our teachers. You will be an indispensable partner to these friendly teachers who will also go through the lesson with you before the beginning. It is also an opportunity for you to improve your first aid skills and get familiar with the concept of teaching simulation medicine.

Every study group will have two lecturers that will alternate corresponding with their time availability and their school schedule. To pass the optional course, the lecturer will have to attend at least 6 seminars during the winter semester. Thus, you do not have to come every week, it is up to you and the other lecturer assigned to the same study group to decide who will come when.

The requirement for each student is always 1 h 40 min for a seminar of each study group. There is a different topic every week, there is one topic for the entire week.

Mondays 8:55 - 10:35, Group 1+2 - 2 lecturers

Wednesday 9:50 - 15:10, 9:50 - 11:30, Group 3+4 - 2 lecturers

Thursday 9:50 - 11:30, Group 5+6 - 2 lecturers

The optional course is in winter semester only.
