Anotace - angličtina
The aim of the course is to acquire knowledge in a complex view of a person and equip students with the skills to reveal the key point of his / her difficulties. Teaching is focused on the issue of movement under normal and abnormal circumstances, especially in illness. It also introduces the use of neuro-orthopedic aids in the treatment of postural pathology, extends the teaching of exteroceptive facilitation from undergraduate studies of physiotherapy and describes the normal and pathological development of the child, clinical diagnosis of the degree of developmental disorder and prognosis.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrates the ability to define abnormal conditions and disease at the level of individual musculoskeletal systems
  • demonstrates advanced knowledge of the principles of specific disorders of the musculoskeletal system (see course syllabus)
  • demonstrates advanced knowledge of the principles of pain origin and management (see course syllabus)
  • demonstrates advanced ability to present, discuss and critically evaluate model examples of movement behavior disorders
  • demonstrates advanced knowledge of the principles of momentum development related to the gradual maturation of the CNS
  • demonstrates an advanced ability to orientate in the level of postural development of the child
  • demonstrates advanced knowledge of the overview of diagnostic procedures used in childhood
  • demonstrates an understanding of the principles of basic motor development disorders, including coordination disorders and cerebral palsy (see course syllabus)
