Sylabus

Optional subject recommended for students in 5. and 6. year

Venue: Urologická klinika UK 2.LF a FN Motol

Beginning: 14.00 (2 PM)

Number of students: minimal 2, maximal 10

Goal: Familiarization with endoscopic techniques of minimally invasive surgery across disciplines.The possibility of practicing the handling of various types of endoscopices on simulators that faithfully imitate the enviromment of the axamined and trated organs. Traininig in own endoscopic procedures such as coagulation, ablation, resection and extraction. Analysis of videos, analysis of techniques, discussion of indications for procedures with advantages and risks of the endoscopic approach, assumption of technological development in the future.

Schedule:

Thursday

1. Lesson : ( endourology training center – etc.)lecture, video presentation, familiarization with different types of endoscopes and relevant instrumentation, video analysis of operations, basics of manipulation and control of devices, training on simulators (2 hours)

2. Lesson: training of basic and advanced techniques in endoscopy on simulators – individual training (2 hours)

3. Assistancee in operating rooms – individual training ( 16 hours)
