Anotace

Jde o týdenní stáž na infekční klinice, která zahrnuje semináře na vybraná témata a klinickou výuku u lůžka pacienta. Studenti si rovněž vyzkouší lumbální punkci na simulátoru a osvojí si hygienu rukou včetně kontroly techniky pomocí UV lampy. Důraz je kladen na nálezy v dutině ústní u infekčních chorob včetně HIV infekce, postižení lícního nervu a její diferenciální diagnostiku, dále na prevenci přenosu infekčních nemocí ve stomatologické praxi včetně péče o nemocné s bakteriální endokarditidou, HIV pozitivní i HBsAg pozitivní pacienty v ordinaci zubního lékaře.

One week course that consists of 25 teaching hours take place in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Military University Hospital. The course includes seminars and bedside clinical teaching including demonstration with lumbar puncture simulator and training of hand hygiene with UV light box. The seminars are focused on the principles of antibiotic therapy of dental infections, infectious disease manifestations in the oral cavity including HIV, involvement of cranial nerve VII., and its differential diagnosis, various head, neck and upper airway infections, prevention of infections in stomatology practice, including care of endocarditis patients, HIV and HBsAg-positive patients in the dentist office.

Clinical Use of Antibiotics - 3 teaching hrs.

Sepsis and Infective Endocarditis - 2 teaching hrs.
 
Oral cavity manifestations of infectious disease and vaccinations  - 3 teaching hrs.

Examination of the Patient with Infectious Diseases - 2 teaching hrs.

Head and neck soft tissue infections cases - 2 teaching hrs.

HIV infections - 3 teaching hrs.

The best of the infection for practice - 2 teaching hrs.
 

Consultations, credit - 3 teaching hrs. 
 

Bedside rounds including demonstration with lumbar puncture simulator and training of hand hygiene with UV light box - 5 teaching hrs.

Vstupní požadavky

The seminars and bedside clinical teaching take place in the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Military University Hospital (see our website for the directions).

The department is located in building E (entrance E1; ring the bell "sekretariát"). The seminar room and cloakrooms are on the ground floor of the department.

Timatable 2025 - Plán výuky infekčního lékařství

For the bedside training a clean white coat, protective face mask, students’ identification card (ISIC) and slippers are required. The student ID must be placed on a badge and worn on a visible location on the white coat.

Please, respect rules of "quiet environment" when you are outside the cloakrooms or seminar room.
