Teoretická a praktická příprava ke státní závěrečné zkoušce z chirurgie.
Diagnostika chirurgických onemocnění, indikace k operaci, chirurgické výkony, asistence při operacích, intenzivní péče v chirurgii, pooperační komplikace, převazy - vše pod dohledem vyučujícího lékaře.

Main principles of asepsis and antisepsis, wounds and injuries therapy, surgical infections, investigation of surgically ill patients, preoperative and postoperative care.
Basics of cardiovascular surgery, thoracic surgery, surgery of the breast, gastrointestinal surgery, acute abdomen, hernia surgery, endocrine surgery, traumatology. Principles of surgical procedures.
Praxis in operating theatres, wards, ICU and outpatients departments. Assistance during surgical procedures.

The students attend 3 weeks general surgery and 1 week cardio-vascular surgery and 1 week plastic surgery - system of rotation.

Students attend the first day of internship at 1st Surgical Department in the first floor at 8.30 a.m. Requirements on students: slippers and a white medical coat.
