Requirements for credit Participation in seminars and practicals. No more than two excused absences are allowed; excuses must be sent only in advance by e-mail to the Academic Department of Internal Medicine. In case of a higher number of absences the situation will be delt individually with the Head of the Academic Department of Internal Medicine.
Test in Moodle focused on the knowledge of gastroenterology in range of the state exam questions required success rate ≥ 80 %, 3 attempts |

Practicals: Students will complete 14 practical exercises focusing on the following topics:
Digestive endoscopy (1 practical) Students will visit a digestive endoscopy unit to learn about the range of procedures performed there and their indications. The practicum will include working with a digestive endoscopy simulator.
Gastroenterology (3 practicals) During practicums in standard wards of the 2nd Department of Internal Medicine – Gastroenterology, students will learn about the most common diseases of the digestive tract by presenting individual cases.
Intensive care (4 practicals) During practicals at the intensive care unit students will learn the basic principles and procedures of intensive care through case presentations.
General Internal Medicine (2 practicals) The general internal medicine practicals will be held in all standard wards of internal medicine departments or in the workplaces of each teacher. During the practicals students will focus on clinical examination, results of ancillary examinations, differential diagnosis and therapeutic procedures.
Geriatrics (2 practical) Practicals will take place in the 3rd Department of Internal Medicine – Metabolic Care and Gerontology. During the practicals, students will learn the principles and procedures of geriatric care through the presentation of model cases.
Electrophysiology and cardiac pacing (1 practical) During practicals at The Department of Electrophysiology and Cardiostimulation of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine – Cardioangiology, students will learn about the indications and spectrum of electrophysiology and cardiac pacing procedures.
Invasive Cardiology (1 practical) During practicals at the Department of Invasive Cardiology of the 1st Department of Internal Medicine – Cardioangiology, students will learn about the indications and spectrum of procedures in electrophysiology and cardiac pacing. |
