An English upper-intermediate/pre-advanced course for students that intend to develop their overall language competence. The content of the course might change to meet the needs of the group. Grammar: comparing, continuous forms, noun phrases, perfect forms, auxiliary verbs, articles. Vocabulary: phrases with adverbs, collocations for describing problems and solutions, collocations of perception and sound, prepositional phrases. Speaking/writing: vague language, approximation, a summary, an informal talk, checking and rephrasing. Reading/Listening: predicting content, taking notes, avoiding repetition. |
