Please note that this course will take place mainly in English, as it is open to students on the Erasmus programme.
Our text this semester will be The Power and the Glory by the English novelist Graham Greene (1904-1991), which deals with the story of a priest in Mexico during the Civil War, when the church was under threat. We will read the text, reflecting on its view of Christian discipleship, on notions of perfection and sanctity, on what makes someone faithful.
The course is a reading seminar, which means that students are required to read the text. It will be a relatively intense course, as we meet for a long time on a few occasions. The list of classes and the text of the book and other readings are available on Moodle.
