As the subject is destined to contribute to professional practice, as it is important that understanding of relevant issues in sufficient depth is expected, including theological and pastoral aspects of the profession. It is also important that the students get acquainted with the way of thinking within the professional context, esp. to values and attitudes, to principles, about the nature of ethical codes, of human rights etc. and the use of other documentations. We tend to learn how to communicate in professional practice, how to use cases of good practice, how to deal with ethical dilemmas etc. The course does not provide the students with clear answers easily applicable to practice. Rather the emphasis will be given to developing analytical perspective, especially in solving a problem or a dilemma. The theme of spirituality and pastoral work will be also discussed.

Because of the specialisation of the Course also in Pastoral Work, it is expected that the students gets more in depth insight into anthropology and theology in relation to professional ethics.
