The course introduces students to the basics of physical activity recommendations for health-impaired individuals. It provides the theoretical basis for individual impairments and shows the creation of exercise programs based on individual case studies. During practical lessons, students prepare short series of exercises aimed at improving the health status of specific weaknesses. Part of the teaching is also attendance at external lessons for people with weakened health (individuals with metabolic syndrome, seniors, pregnant women, diabetics, etc.). Successful student should be able to advise clients/patients about adequate physical activity as well as to build up a tailored exercise program and to lead group exercise units for people with health impairment.
