The course is focused on practicing and improving basic movement skills on downhill skis and organizing ski races, competitions and tourist events. Teaching is aimed at acquiring skills for organizing winter activities for all age groups.

Training of basic skiing skills of downhill skiing and turning on downhill skis, use of basic skiing skills in practical teaching. Obtaining theoretical knowledge for the realization of ski courses, the organization of ski competitions and tourist events.

Graduate of the subject:

- Can recognize basic skiing skills and their involvement in downhill skiing based on kinematic analysis.

- Can describe the processes of organizing a sports event, personnel and financial provision and ensuring security according to applicable legislation.

- Can explain conclusions from kinematic analysis and apply preparatory exercises based on conclusions.

- Can prepare a ski course, especially staffing, its budget, promotion of the event, selection of location, preparation of content and program of the course, arrangement of transport, preparation of documents necessary for health and safety, GDPR, final report from the course.

- He is able to perform a basic arc in a turning position (plow) with the involvement of all skiing skills and is able to perform a parallel arc in the basic form with the involvement of all skiing skills.

He is able to plan, manage and implement a winter course focused on downhill skiing for children and pupils of kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, registered associations, sports clubs and other organizations using the frontal, game, task and competition method, from the very beginning to the transition to the basics skiing in the parallel position of the skis
