The course is accredited by University of Peloponnese. Course leader: Prof. Kostas Georgiadis (University of Peloponnese). The purpose of this module is to delve into the history of the Olympic Games and their evolution since the Games’ inception in 776 B.C. Through instruction and experiential learning activities, students will have the opportunity to analyse, compare and contrast the relationship between the Olympic Movement and different cultures and societies. Furthermore, students will critically examine the challenges, the collaborations, and the accomplishments revolving around the Olympic Movement from a variety of viewpoints.
