The main objective of the course is to introduce students to basic terms and concepts of statistical data analysis. Emphasis will be placed on the factual understanding of several basic statistical concepts and less on the theoretical and/or mathematical background. During the course, students will also learn the basics of statistical calculations in Excel.

Hlavním cílem předmětu je seznámit studenty se základními pojmy a koncepty statistické analýzy dat. Důraz bude kladen více na věcné pochopení několika základních statistických konceptů a méně na teoretické či matematické východiska. Během kurzu se studenti rovněž seznámí se základy statistických výpočtů v Excelu.
