The course is based on "Orthotics, Prosthetics", given in the bachelor's degree. Students are introduced to indications of orthoses and prostheses and their effects on the body's statics and dynamics. It also involves testing the aids and tools and analyzing their effects on the resulting movement.
Aim of the course
Last update: Mgr. Linda Mejsnarová, Ph.D. (25.05.2021)

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • understand the position and integration of orthotics - prosthetics as a field in the system of medical rehabilitation
  • demonstrate orientation in the provision of comprehensive prosthetic care
  • demonstrate a deeper orientation in preventive, supportive, corrective and rehabilitation steps with regard to common problems associated with prosthetics and prosthetics
  • demonstrate deeper knowledge in the indication of orthoses and prostheses
  • demonstrate a deeper knowledge of the influence of orthoses and prostheses on the statics and dynamics of the body, as well as on the overall movement of the patient
