The content of the course is diagnostic and basic therapeutic procedures applied by a physiotherapist. Learning outcomes of the course unit The aim of the course is practical mastery of so-called kinesiological analysis, ie complex diagnostics from the perspective of a physiotherapist. Furthermore, acquiring skills in performing basic physiotherapeutic procedures with a major focus on the muscular system and so-called proprioceptive training. Teaching takes the form of lectures, but the main focus is on practical and patient demonstrations.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrate knowledge of the principles and implementation of basic examination procedures for performing a comprehensive kinesiological analysis
  • demonstrate the ability to perform basic examination procedures (see the course syllabus)
  • demonstrate the ability to develop a comprehensive kinesiological analysis
  • demonstrate the ability to present the conclusions of the patient's examination
  • demonstrate knowledge of special tests used in physiotherapy
  • demonstrate the ability to use special tests in a comprehensive examination of the patient
  • demonstrate knowledge of the principles of basic therapeutic procedures (see the course syllabus)
  • demonstrate the ability to apply basic therapeutic procedures (see the course syllabus)

Credit Requirements:

- 100% attendance in practical teaching

- successful completion of tasks as assigned by teachers

- successful completion of testing during practical teaching

- preparation and submission of a kinesiologic examination (in Moodle2) no later than 5 December 2023

- presentation of a kinesiologic examination in practical teaching (if the kinesiologic examination is not prepared correctly, the student will have the option of one correction; if this is not satisfactory, the kinesiologic examination cannot be accepted and the student loses the right to be awarded credit)

- successful completion of the written (credit) test
