The aim of the course is to broaden the knowledge and skills of students in the procedures of proptioceptive neuromuscular facilitation. Emphasis is placed on familiarization with the so-called development series of the PNF concept and then on the application of PNF procedures in various areas of physiotherapy, prevention and sport.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses patterns for the upper and lower extremities (including the techniques) – revision
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses patterns for the trunk and head
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses patterns for the pelvis and scapula
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses elevation of the pelvis in the back-lying position
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses rotation of the lower body in the back-lying position
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses shifting form the back-lying to chest-lying position (and back)
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses stabilization in the hip-lying position
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses lifting to the forearms and knees, stabilization
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses lifting to the hands and knees, stabilization
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses crawling (forth and back)
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses shifting from the chest-lying (back-lying) position to the sitting position, stabilization in sitting
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses sifting to the upright kneeling position, stabilization in kneeling
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses walking in the kneeling position
  • demonstrates knowledge and ability to uses lifting to the standing position, stabilization in standing
