The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the characteristics of the basic group of drugs and medicines used in medicine. Students will gain knowledge about the effects of these drugs and medicines, as well as the factors that influence their action. In particular, the subject is becoming increasingly important in recent times, when preparations that contain many of these active substances are freely available.

Learning Outcomes:

The aim of the course is to provide students with the knowledge, skills and general competencies so that after the completion of the course the students:

  • are acquainted with the characteristics of the basic group of drugs and medicines used in medicine
  • are acquainted with the pharmacological effects of commonly and over-the-counter drugs, which he encounters in the practice of a physiotherapist, as well as side effects, indications and contraindications
