The aim of the subject is to familiarize students with the principles of diagnostics and diagnostic tools used in biomedicine and in medical sciences. Students will get to know the methods of laboratory blood examination, molecular genetics, spiroergometry, polysomnography, selected sensory organ examinations, ECG, imaging methods, patient reported outcomes, even with new trends in diagnostic procedures that use wearable electronics, advanced sensors and artificial intelligence (objective assessment of physical activity using accelerometers, Ecological Momentary Assessment, ballistics, digital outcomes, etc.).

Get a general overview of diagnostic methods in biomedicine, get to know the methods used in various clinical settings.

Students have a basic overview of diagnostic methods and procedures in biomedical and medical sciences.
