An ergogenic aid is phenomenon that enhances performance. Doping is a medicationg an athlete with the sole intention of unnaturally increasing his competitive performance. A list of various substances or phenomena that impove an athlete s performance will be sumerized. general information concerning the proposed mechanisms of drug action will be also discussed. Health risks of doping use will be mentioned.
