The subject deals with theoretical approaches of body image as well as results of empirical investigations of pupils, students and adults and cultural differences between nations. The field “Men and his body” explains self, identity and physical self from the point of philosophical, biological, psychological, sociological and esthetical view. Changes of body image during the life are also presented. We analyze media influence on human body acceptation and also disturbed body image and eating disorders, we concern with health education and prevention of social – pathological phenomena.
